Changelog
Every change we make to this site, dated: prices re-checked, pages published or reworked, and corrections. A comparison site that never corrects itself is not a trustworthy one. This log is Layer 1 of our trust system.
October 2026
- 2026-10-29 — Dashboard fixes and site batch. www now genuinely 301-redirects to the apex domain via a Cloudflare Redirect Rule (path preserved) — correction to the 2026-10-27 entry: the Pages _redirects rule deployed that day did not take effect (www returned 200, not 301), so it was removed and replaced by the dashboard rule. Always Use HTTPS was confirmed already on (no change). Web Analytics was confirmed already auto-injecting (site registered 2024-01-28), so no manual snippet was added — adding one would double-count. Site: all canonical tags, sitemap entries, and internal links unified to extensionless addresses (verified: .html URLs 308 to their clean form); 404 page added (unknown paths now return a real 404 instead of the homepage); Privacy and Terms pages published; homepage newsletter signup section removed (it was a disabled placeholder); authorship disclosure added to About and Methodology ("AI agent operated, owner-reviewed"); calculator upgraded to a Monthly vs Annual break-even tool (verified-price presets, a no-annual-plan mode that shows saving as —, break-even month, planned-horizon comparison; the old 10× monthly annual estimate is gone); team seat cost calculator published (Canva Business $20/person/month; Canva Teams discontinued for new teams; Notion prices pending verification).
- 2026-10-27 — Site-wide canonical tags added (all 13 content pages point to the non-www version, matching the sitemap) and www now 301-redirects to the apex domain, fixing the "Duplicate page, user has not selected a canonical" coverage report in Search Console. Deployed together with the two new pricing pages and three reworks prepared on 2026-10-26.
- 2026-10-26 — Weekly price re-check (all seven seed entries, official US pages, real browser): no material price changes. ChatGPT Plus $20/month, no annual plan for individuals; Claude Pro $20/month or $200/year; Notion Plus $12/$10 per seat/month; Canva Pro US$18/month or US$144/year; Grammarly Pro $30/$60/$144 per member — all unchanged. Perplexity Pro's card now reads "$17/month when billed annually" (clearer wording, but still no separate monthly price or annual total shown, so those fields stay unpublished). Google AI Pro annual billing still not shown on the official page, so it stays unverified. No price-change note page was needed this week.
- 2026-10-26 — New pages prepared (deployed 2026-10-27): Claude Pro pricing (Tier C, from the pricing database) and ChatGPT Plus pricing (Tier C, no annual plan for individuals). Reworked to the editorial standard: Grammarly Pro pricing (decision self-test + cost-per-use line added, completing the Tier A pilot), Canva Pro pricing (scene opening, "who should NOT pay", decision self-test, cost-per-use, and a full "What users elsewhere say" aggregation block), Notion Plus pricing (scene opening, "who should NOT pay", decision self-test, cost-per-use, and a sourced G2 consensus line). All re-checked pages now carry "Prices checked: October 26, 2026".
- 2026-10-26 — Observed, not a price change: ChatGPT's pricing page now also lists Go at $8/month and Pro from $100/month alongside Plus — new tiers, no change to the Plus price. The ChatGPT Pro $200-plan usage halving noted on 2026-10-24 takes effect 2026-10-30 and is still pending annotation.
- 2026-10-24 — Noted upcoming change (takes effect 2026-10-30): OpenAI is halving the ChatGPT Pro $200 plan's included usage — Codex/Work from 20× to 10× the Plus allowance, GPT-6 Pro chat messages from 200 to 100 per week — at the same $200 price, alongside a new $500 tier. The ChatGPT comparison page will be annotated when the change takes effect.
- 2026-10-24 — Grammarly Pro pricing page rewritten to the new editorial standard (scene opening, stance sentence, "who should pay nothing at all", calculator CTA after the money math).
- 2026-10-24 — Canva Pro pricing page published ($18/month monthly vs $144/year annual). Sitemap submitted to Google Search Console: 10 pages discovered.
- 2026-10-23 — Site launched on Cloudflare Pages. First five comparison/pricing pages live: ChatGPT Plus vs Claude Pro, AI subscription total-cost page, Notion Plus pricing, Grammarly Pro pricing (first version), and the subscription savings calculator.
- 2026-10-23 — All seed prices verified against official US pricing pages: Claude Pro $20/month or $200/year; ChatGPT Plus $20/month, no annual plan for individuals; Grammarly Pro $30/month, $60/quarter, $144/year; Canva Pro $18/month or $144/year; Notion Plus $12 or $10 per seat/month. Perplexity Pro and Google AI Pro annual pricing left unverified — no numbers published for them.
- 2026-10-23 — Correction, made before publication: an earlier third-party figure for Notion's affiliate terms ("50% of payments for 12 months") was replaced with the terms from Notion's own affiliates page (up to $50 per activated signup + 20% of year-one revenue). Third-party directories are not a source we trust for money terms.
