Affiliate Disclosure

The plain-English version: some links on this site earn us money. Here's exactly how, and what that money does not buy.

How affiliate links work here

Some outbound links to vendors on Quality Saving are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy or subscribe, the vendor may pay us a commission or referral fee. You pay the same price you would have paid going to the vendor directly — the commission comes out of the vendor's margin, not out of your pocket. In many programs the commission is a percentage of a subscription payment, sometimes recurring for as long as the referred subscription stays active.

What affiliate links do not do

They do not change a verdict, a ranking, or a price we report. Comparisons are researched from official pricing pages and plan terms first (see our Methodology), and links are added afterwards. A tool with no affiliate program is compared on exactly the same terms as one with a generous one, and we regularly expect our "best value" pick for a reader to be a free tier — which earns us nothing.

No paid placements

Nothing on this site is a paid placement. Vendors cannot pay for inclusion, position, a "best" label, or softer language, and we do not run sponsored posts. If that ever changes, the change will be announced on this page before it takes effect.

Amazon and other programs

Where a specific affiliate program requires its own disclosure wording, that wording will appear on this page and near the relevant links before those links go live. Program terms change; this page will be updated when our program memberships change.

Why we use them

Affiliate commissions are how this site is designed to pay for itself — hosting, the time it takes to re-check prices, and keeping the calculator free — without charging readers or selling their data. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and collects nothing.
